Executive Director

Galaxy’s Executive Director, Brett Strang, has an impressive soccer background; both as a player and as a coach. During his academic career, he earned numerous honors including:

  • Named to the Chicago Tribune all-state team (1993) while on the Naperville Central High School team
  • Named newcomer of the year during his freshman year at Illinois State University
  • Transferred to Bowling Green State University where as a senior, he was the team captain and MVP.
  • During Brett’s tenure at BGSU, he participated in three NCAA tournaments.
  • The BGSU Falcons finished 16th in the nation, on the NSCAA’s Men’s Division I Soccer Rankings for 1997.
  • Named to the all-MAC team, the All-Ohio Academic team and the Soccer America Men’s Team of the Week (11/10/97)

Brett graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Sports Management, with a minor in Marketing. After college, Brett was a three-year starter for the Cincinnati Riverhawks (A-League) and in 1998, he trained with the Columbus Crew. He was a starting defender for the Chicago Fire Reserves of the Premier Development League. Brett’s coaching experience and education include:

  • Freshman Coach for Naperville Central High School
  • USSF National “A” License
  • Dutch KNVB coaching certificate
  • Training and developing local and regional travel teams U7 to U19

The Galaxy Soccer Club is privileged to have Brett as our Executive Director to ensure the improvement and strength of all our programs.
