2010 GREAT LAKES SOCCER CHALLENGE
Galaxy Soccer Club is proud to announce the 2010 Great Lakes Soccer Challenge!
This year's tournament will be held over the weekend of September 17-19, 2010. The event will feature multiple levels of competition for ages U8-U18, and all games will be played at the Naperville Polo Club on an exceptional playing surface. We will be hosting 240 teams and have attracted teams from all across the Midwest. Space fills fast, so continue to heck back for more information. Galaxy SC looks forward to hosting your team in September 2010!

GALAXY SC PLAYER, MIKE WIEST, COMMITS TO BOWLING GREEN
Galaxy Soccer Club would like to congratulate Mike Wiest (member of Galaxy's U18 Boys Blue team), who recently signed a national letter of intent to play soccer at Bowling Green State University in the fall. Wiest has been coached by Jim Connor and Brett Strang, who was also a member of the BGSU Men's Soccer Program. While playing for the Galaxy SC U18 Boys team, Mike helped his squad to a State Cup Semifinal appearance in 2009 after trips to the quarterfinals in each of the previous two seasons. Wiest was also a member of the Naperville North HS Boys Soccer program where we led his team to a 16-3-2 record while being named to the Sun-Times All-Area Team as well as the IHSSCA All-State Team. Congratulations to Mike Wiest!
GALAXY SC OPEN TRYOUTS THE WEEK OF JANUARY 25
The Galaxy Soccer Club will be holding open tryouts for our boys and girls teams the week of January 25. If you are interested in trying out, please contact the Galaxy Soccer Office at 630-548-4300. Players will be informed of their tryout time and location when they contact the office.

BOYS U15 AND U16 BLUE TEAMS SHOW WELL AT GIT
Galaxy Soccer Club would like to congratulate the Boys U15 Blue and U16 Blue teams on their impressive displays in Memphis, TN, at the Germantown Invitational Tournament this past weekend. The U15 squad finished the weekend with a 2-1-1 record, taking home the finalist trophy in the process. The U16 team also performed admirably, going undefeated with a 2-0-1 record and allowing only one goal against the entire tournament. Both teams earned a great deal of respect within the region and represented Galaxy Soccer Club extremely well. Congratulations!
MICRO SOCCER LEAGUE
Just for Kicks will be hosting a Micro Soccer League this Winter. The program is designed for players 5 - 8 years old seeking professional training without the commitment to travel soccer. All sessions will be conducted by the Galaxy Soccer Club's professional, licensed staff. For the winter, JFK will be placing full teams into the recreational league to compete against Plainfield Soccer and America's Soccer Club's teams.
