GALAXY BOYS' U14 BLUE TEAM WIN BLUES CITY BLOWOUT!
We would like to congratulate the Galaxy Boys’ U14 Blue team on their recent tournament success at the Blues City Blowout in Memphis, TN. After four hard fought games, the U14 boys were able to knock off FC Pumas from Massachusetts in the final game on their way to a perfect 4-0 weekend. "This was truly a team effort. Every member of the team should be proud of how they played. To go through a tournament far from home against high level competition and go undefeated and unscored upon is a tremendous accomplishment." The Galaxy Boys’ U15 Blue and Boys’ U16 Black teams also participated in the tournament and had successful weekends to kickoff their spring seasons.

SPRING 2008 FUTURE STARS PROGRAMS
Galaxy Soccer Club is pleased to announce their Spring 2008 Future Stars Soccer Programs, which will be run in partnership with the Naperville Park District. All registrations for the following programs will be handled by the Naperville Park District. Questions about the programs may be directed to the Galaxy Soccer Club office (630-548-4300). Questions about registration should be directed to the Naperville Park District (630-848-5000). Online registration begins on March 5 (www.napervilleparks.org).

Galaxy Soccer Club is also pleased to announce their Spring 2008 Aurora-area Future Stars Soccer Program, held at Meadow Lakes Park (Route 59 to Montgomery Rd. West on Montgomery Rd. to Meadowbrook Dr (across from White Eagle), turn right. The park is on the corner of Meadowbrook Dr. and Birchdale Ln.)

GALAXY PLAYER SIGNS WITH UNIVERSITY OF WISCONSIN - MILWAUKEE
The Galaxy Soccer Club would like to congratulate Joe Wehrli, of the U18 Galaxy Blue team, on his recent acceptance into the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and their Men's Soccer program. Joe has been a member of the Galaxy Soccer Club since 2004. Galaxy's Director of Coaching, Brett Strang said, "Joe will be an excellent addition to UWM and its soccer program. He has the work ethic and ability to be an excellent Division I player." We all wish Joe the best of luck in his future academic and collegiate soccer career.

GREAT LAKES SOCCER CHALLENGE
The Galaxy Soccer Club proudly presents the 2008 Great Lakes Soccer Challenge to be hosted at the Naperville Polo Fields (Naperville, IL).

Tournament Scheduled for September 19 – 21, 2008

Age Groups:
Boys U8 - U14
Girls U8 - U18

The Competition:
Minimum three (3) games. Championship games at all levels

Team Placement:
All Teams will be placed in appropriate levels based on previous performance in Leagues, Tournaments, and State Cup Tournaments.

Cost:
U8 & U9 (6v6): $400.00
U10 & U11 (8v8): $450.00
U12 (8v8): $450.00
UU12 - U18 (11v11): $500.00

The Fields:
The Naperville Polo Fields are located at 23700 West 119th Street in Plainfield, Illinois

GALAXY GIRLS U16 BLUE UNDEFEATED AT THE SELECT GERMANTOWN INVITATIONAL TOURNAMENT
Congratulations to the Galaxy Girls U16 Blue team who were victorious in all three of their games at the Select Germantown Invitational Tournament, December 8th & 9th. The girls shut out all three opponents: Galaxy vs Cleveland United: 2 - 0; Galaxy vs Redoubtful FC 92: 1 - 0; and Galaxy vs Metro Strokers Korbai: 1 - 0. Congratulations to the girls and to their coach, Jim Conner!

GALAXY ALUMNI NAMED MVP'S AT ILLINOIS WESLEYAN UNIVERSITY
Galaxy Soccer Club is proud to announce that Galaxy Alumni, Jason Lopez and Greg Yao (both juniors) have been chosen as the most valuable offensive and defensive players, respectively, for the 2007 Illinois Wesleyan men’s soccer team. A midfielder, Lopez led the Titans in scoring with 17 points on seven goals and three assists. His free kick goal, the first of three he scored against North Central, was cited as the team’s “Goal of the Year.” Yao was a starter in 16 games and played a key backfield role for a team that allowed 1.80 goals per game. Jason and Greg, along with two other juniors, were elected to be the 2008 team captains. Congratulations to both Jason and Greg!!
